Who We Are

A foundation built on healthy bodies, healthy minds, and healthy communities.

Mariyam's Ways Foundation (MWF) is a sustainable development organisation committed to promoting holistic wellness and empowerment among young people, especially girls and women. We are rooted in the belief that true empowerment begins with knowledge, confidence, and health.

Through programmes focused on creating enabling environments, promoting women's health, providing mental health support, offering fitness and lifestyle education, and engaging youth, we aim to break stigmas, build capacity, and inspire lasting change in communities.

Ms. Mariyam Lorba Konneh

Founder & CEO · Media Personality · Humanitarian

At just 15 years old, Mariyam Lorba Konneh co-founded The Mariyam's Ways Foundation — turning her own experience growing up in Sierra Leone into a platform for change. Now a Banking & Finance student at the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), she leads MWF alongside her business, Mariyam's Ways Limited (MWL), and is a member of the Commonwealth Business Women's Network (CBWN), Sierra Leone.

Beyond MWF, Mariyam is a media personality — presenting on AYV MultiChoice DStv — and a committed environmental advocate who leads regular beach clean-ups across her community. She also serves as a goodwill ambassador for a surf-therapy mental wellness programme run through the United Sierra Leone Wave Alliance, work that has been featured in international research publications.

"This is not just a title to me — it's a call to inspire, serve, and uplift. My journey continues, and I invite everyone to join me in making a positive difference."
